Updated site

Hello All,

The last few weeks have seen a lot of major upgrades. Not much will be noticed design wise and content wise but major change in permissions and permission role structure. Now the system is designed as a Organisational Unit structure instead of a 6 tier structure. This give us many ways to assign people roles and groups to help with who sees what and what everyone can and can't do as members.

We have changed to a weekly update schedule so new changes and bug fixes will drop weekly from now on.

You will notice that resources now have some items showing and going forward it will grow.

In members area as a basic ember you will only see create a Vessel. Vessel creation is now possible and creating one automatically makes you the captain of that vessel. One thing to note the system will not let you create a vessel if you do not have specific info about the vessel and it will not so your vessel as verified until it passes the verification checks. Once your vessel is verified you will receive a badge indicating it.

What's next you may ask well a lot.

Now that we have the permission structure in place that opens up providing members with more features. First to hit is a members Lounge which will be the central entry point providing a bunch of features. One feature is a place to report bugs you find and also a place for members to provide feedback and suggestions.

We here at Angelic Sea Traveler want this site to develop into a community of sailors and a fmily of sorts so giving everyone a way to input what they like and suggest things they would like to see was something we thought greatly needed.
